Style & Hairline Options

Many women suffer from hair loss and thinning hair - even though we tend to keep it to ourselves, like a closely guarded secret. Hair thinning can make us feel isolated and alone - even though 40 percent of balding Americans are women! Yes, that's right. While most people associate hair loss with male pattern baldness, countless women suffer from hair loss, too. In fact, I first learned how to perform scalp micropigmentation because I was insecure about my own thinning hair - and after I saw the results, I became determined to share this innovative treatment option with my clients.

Scalp micropigmentation is perfect if you are a woman who is thinning on the top or across the crown section of your head. We have also worked with and treated many female alopecia and surgery scar clients. Utilizing SMP will create an underlying effect, which creates the appearance of a natural, full head of hair. Where scalp is visible, SMP will cover it up and allow for
a full and healthy look. And, while this is not true for everyone, scalp micropigmentation may stimulate your hair follicles allowing for new hair to grow back - but, even without that perk, you can be confident that your hair will look thicker and fuller.

SMP is used to:

Add Density to Thinning Hair

Men and women of all ages have found scalp micropigmentation as their solution
to cover or fill in thinning hair. Thinning can result in a wide, undesirable scalp
area showing through the hair. Typically, the person will have an even coverage
across the scalp, but the density drops as the hair loss progresses.  Scalp
micropigmentation replaces the lost density, resulting in the appearance of an
even, full head of hair.

Cover Up Hair Restoration Surgery Scars:

If you have had a hair transplant, you may have been left with scars as a result of

this procedure. In general, it is our opinion that most hair transplants are not as
effective as scalp micropigmentation due to the limitations on a person’s
available donor hair. Many do not even qualify for any hair restoration surgery for
lack of enough donor hair.

After undergoing hair restoration surgery, people are commonly left with severe
scarring, plug holes on their heads, and a resulting sense of insecurity.
People are often left with only two choices: They can continue having multiple
hair restoration treatments that leave patients with more scars and cost even
more money, or proceed with scalp micropigmentation, which gives a guaranteed
result, putting an end to frequent hair transplant surgeries, while covering up the
scars from previous surgeries. The technique we use doesn’t just cover the
scars, but also gives the appearance of a fuller head of hair by adding density to
places on the scalp where the hair restoration was not effective, giving you the
renewed sense of confidence you were looking for at your initial hair restoration
surgery.

Because of the ability to camouflage surgical scars and to add density to failed
hair transplants, scalp micropigmentation is the perfect solution for the
effective concealment of all types of scars.

Add Density to Hair Transplant Procedures:

Many hair replacement physicians will refer their clients to a scalp
micropigmentation professional to augment a hair transplant. Scalp
micropigmentation can work with hair transplant as a pre-planned combination
procedure.

By combining traditional hair restoration and SMP, the client has twice the
benefits: real texturized hair, along with the appearance of thickness and fullness
that only SMP can provide — a truly innovative way to achieve real results.
It is best to visit our office in person for a consultation to decide at which stage of
your hair transplant SMP should be performed. In the majority of cases, the hair
transplant procedure should be done first. However, there may be cases in which
SMP should begin before the medical procedures. A consultation is always
recommended, as we sincerly welcome the opportunity to speak with potential
clients and to provide as much information and awareness as possible and to
answer any and all questions you may have.

When it comes to style, Seung uses the consultation to measure your face

shape, evaluate your bone structure, and then uses a cosmetic pen to draw in a hair line that

would be best for you. After getting this visual preview of what your hairline could be, the two of you will

make any necessary customizations together.
